Lovely as a Tree

Welcome,

The background I used for this card is the new Watercolor Wash (#c139538, #w138704). I only wanted a subtle colour so used the stamping off method with Crumb Cake ink (#126975).

Then I stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree stamp set (#c127793, #w128655) with Old Olive ink (#126953) on Whisper White card (#106549). I have also used Early Espresso card (#121686) and Early Espresso ink (#126974). The DSP is Old Olive from the new Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434). The brad is one of the Antique Brads (#117273). Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167).

Birthday Blossoms

Hello,

There are some stamp sets when you first see them, you know you just have to have them, and the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) was one of those sets for me. The flower also coordinates with the Pansy punch (#130698), so a great bonus when you already have that punch.

The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Wisteria Wonder (#124389). The inks are Wisteria Wonder (#126985) and Pear Pizzaz (#131180). I stamped 2 lots of the leaves onto the card, then the 3rd lot of leaves I stamped on an off cut and cut out the leaves and taped onto the card. I guess you are wondering why I did this. Well, once I attached the flower I decided it needed another lot of leaves and it was the only way I could add the leaves without removing the flower. The tag is cut from the Lots of Labels Framelits (#138281) and I have added some White Perfect Accents to the label and the flower. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the tag and flower. The Wisteria Wonder was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Vintage Leaves

Hi and Welcome,

Everyone has bits and pieces of Cardstock (you certainly don't throw them out) and this card was made with off cuts.

I have used Whisper White card (#106549), Pear Pizzaz (#131290), Soft Suede (#119982) and Brights DSP Stack (#138434). The sentiment is from the Circle of Spring stamp set (#p138964) and stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). The leaves from Vintage Leaves (#p138802) are stamped with Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede (#126978) and Pear Pizzaz (#131180). The leaves were cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#238283) and the tag was cut with the Tags and Labels Framelits (#138282). A Candy Dot from the Neutrals (#130934) was attached to the tag. I used the Honeycomb embossing folder (#129378) on the Whisper White card.

Vintage Leaves And Leaflets Framelits

Hi everyone,

Framelits make it so easy to cut a stamped image and these Leaflets Framelits (# 138283) coordinate with the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#138802). They are also available in a bundle (#140235) which means there is a saving of 15% and don't we all love that.

I stamped the leaves onto the Delightful Dijon card (#138345) with Delightful Dijon ink (#138327). After cutting the leaves I sponged with Cajun Craze ink (#126965), Garden Green (#126973) and Cherry Cobbler (#126966). The Whisper White base card (#106549) was embossed with the Elegants Dots folder (#138287). Thinking of You from Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070) was stamped with Delightful Dijon ink, then this was cut with the  Lots of Labels Framelits (#138281). I added a piece of Gold Satin Ribbon (#134547) and an Antique Brad using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great day.

Butterfly Framelits

Hello Ladies,

I can hear you saying "where can I get this DSP that has been used for the Butterflies and no 3"? Well, it's not DSP but it's from one of my Grand daughters artwork. I would love some DSP just like this, it's so bright and beautiful.

I am making a piece of art for the wall from her artwork which I will show you in the next week or so. I had these butterflies cut and decided to put them on her Birthday card. I glued the artwork onto pieces of Whisper White card (#106549) to make it a bit stronger before cutting the butterflies with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). The cardstock for the card is Shimmery White (#121717) and Rich Razzleberry (#119981). The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink (#126950). The fern and flower from the Butterfly Basics (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) were stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). I used the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker from the Brights collection (#131259) for the flower. The butterflies are attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Check out this week's WEEKLY DEALS.

Glimmer Paper

Welcome again,

Today's card is very glittery, using the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315) for the flowers.

I embossed the Whisper White card (#106549) with my new favourite Elegant Dots embossing folder (#138287. The flowers are punched with the Fun Flower punch (#133785), Pansy punch (#130698) and the Petite Petals punch (#133322). I coloured the flowers using daubers (#133773) with the following inks - Melon Mambo (#126948) and Rose Red around the edges of the Fun Flower and one of the Petite Petals flowers. Pacific Point (#126951) and Island Indigo (#126986) for the Pansy, and Daffodil Delight (#126944) for the Petite Petals which are on top of the Pansies. I cut the Labels using the Lots of Labels Framelits (#138281) from Whisper White Card and Melon Mambo card (#119980). The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) using Melon Mambo ink. The brads are the Mini brads (#122941) and Candy Dots Brad Bases (#132293) with Candy Dots from the Brights Collection (#130931).

That's all for another day.

All God's Grace

Hello,

This week I have 4 cards I need for various occasions, including a sympathy card, baptism card, baby boy card and a birthday card for a 3 year old. So today's card features the Baptism card using All God's Grace stamp set (#c139915, #w138666). I was very pleased with the finished card - simple but elegant.

I have used the Shimmery White card (#121717) which I like to use for extra special cards. The used the A4 sheet and folded it in half for a large card. I also used Silver Foil Sheets (#132178). I embossed the card with the lovely new Elegant Dots folder (#138287). The cross, words and dove were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131), then heat set. The starburst from Kinda Eclectic stamp set (#c135350, #w135347) was stamped with the Silver Encore ink (now retired). The circles were cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). The cross and dove were hand cut. The tiny heart is punched with the Owl Builder punch (#118074). The cross, heart and dove were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Circle of Spring gift card

Welcome ladies,

This is a cute little gift card with an envelope to match.

Using the Watermelon Wonder card (#138341), I embossed using the Elegant Dots folder (#138287). I used Whisper White card (#106549) then heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129) using the Circle Of Spring stamp set (#p138964). This stamp set has the coordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits (#135851). I used White Vellum card for the bow, also using the gold embossing powder. I coloured the bow using Waterrmelon Wonder ink (#138323) and a sponge dauber (#133773) on the back of the bow. Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were used on the flowers and bow. The wreath, flowers and bow were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
The envelope was made using the new 2015-2017 In Colors Envelope Paper (#138312) and the Envelope Punch Board (#133774). The gift card measures 9x9 cm or 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" so the paper for the envelope is 6"x6". This envelope paper is a thinner paper than the normal Cardstock so just ideal for making envelopes. There is a patterned and a plain side so you can decide which one you have for the outside.

That's all today,
Happy Stamping!

Brights DSP stack and Elegant Dots

Hello again,

We had a great day at the catalogue launch today. I made this card and then the following cards were variations of the original made by one of the ladies. I liked to call my card inspirational cards, which allows the ladies to make their own version.

I embossed the Thick Whisper White card (#140490) using the Elegant Dots embossing folder (#138287). The DSP is from the new Brights DSP stack (#138434). The flowers and "friend" from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139950, #w138694) were stamped with Tempting Turquoise ink (#126952). The punch used for the sentiment is the Washi Label punch (#138296). The Framelit to cut the card with the flowers is from the Deco Labels Collection (#130102). The butterfly was cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) from Tempting Turquoise card (#108598). A White Perfect Accent (#138416) was placed on the butterfly. Stampin' Dimensioanals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment, butterfly and the card with the flowers.

Now for the variations-

Hi and welcome,

Here is a card for all the butterfly lovers using more of the products from the new catalogue.

I used the new Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock (#140490) for this card. This is great for card bases as it is thicker than the normal Whisper White cardstock. I embossed the card with the Fluttering folder (#139304). This folder is 15.2 x 15.2 cms so makes it ideal for a square card. The gold butterfly was cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) from the Gold Foil Sheets (#132622). The smaller butterfly was cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) from Real Red card (#106578).  These were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I added the new White Perfect Accents (#138416) to the butterflies. Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (# c139167, #w139167) and heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). Work Of Art Masculine birthday

Hello,

Here's a very quick and easy card. Great for when time is limited or when you are ready to walk out the door and realise you haven't got a card you need for that party.
I have stamped the images from the Work Of Art stamp set (#c134114, #w134111) using Marina Mist ink (#126962) with the stamping off method as I wanted a lighter colour ink.

Then using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) I stamped the ship from The Open Seas stamp set (#c123032, #w128454) and the anchor and sentiment from Guy Greetings (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178). The base card is Marina Mist (#121682), with Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). As I said - a very quick and easy card.

Pansy Punch flower card

Hello again,

I have used one of the flowers that I made for yesterday's blog on today's card.

I love this new Watermelon Wonder colour. The flower was the one with the Watermelon Wonder sponged on the edges of the petals. The Cardstock is Watermelon Wonder (#138341) and Whisper White (#106549). I stamped with Pink Pirouette ink (#126956) using one of the stamps from Flowering Flourishes (#c126367, w131998) onto the Whisper White card. The ribbon is the new Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim (#138425). This is a beautiful soft, sheer lace ribbon and is available in all the new In-Colours. The butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set (#c123759, #w132058) were stamped with Pink Pirouette and Watermelon Wonder inks. Best Wishes is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706). I added Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) to the butterflies.

3D flowers

Hello,

Today I made some 3D flowers using  various punches (I did this while waiting 6 hours to have my computer fixed and it's all nice and healthy again.)

The yellow flower was punched with the Blossom punch (whoops, this is now retired) and using Whisper White card (#106549). I punched 5 of these flowers and then sponged them with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944), then sponged the edges with Tangerine Tango (#126952). I cut each petal for the top 3 layers towards the centre, which allows you to shape each layer. The 2 bottom layers were shaped slightly. Each layer was assembled using hot melt glue. The flowers on the left and right of the photo were coloured with Blushing Bride ink (#131172), and Rose Red ink (#126954) for the edges. The edges of flower at the front was sponged with Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323). The punch used for the flower on the left and the front is the Pansy Punch (#130698). For the flower on the right I used the Pansy Punch with the Petite Petals (#133322) for the centre layers. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel 119246) to the centre of this flower. The other 2 pink flowers has stamens made with the Cotton Paper (#138308) and cut with the Bouquet Bigz L (#137367).

Gift Bag Punch Board

Hi ladies,

I love having new products to play with, so today it was the Gift Bag Punch Board (#135862) to make some beautiful gift bags.

I used DSP from the Lullaby DSP (#133695) for the larger bag. (This DSP is retiring). The gift bags can be made in a variety of sizes and this is the largest which starts at 12" x12". All the information is included on the board on how to make the bag. The banners are made with the new Banner Triple punch (#138292). This allows you to make the 3 different sizes of banners with one punch. All you need to do is cut card to 1", 1-1/2" and 2" wide and then punch the end. The card for the banners are Mint Macaron (#138344), Watermelon Wonder (#138341) and Crushed Curry (#131288). The flower has been made using the new Cotton Paper Assortment (#138308). This is a lightweight but sturdy paper and beautiful for making flowers. The flower is made from the Bouquet Bigz L (#137367) using the 2 smallest petals. The taffeta ribbon is also retiring. Happy Birthday is from one of the new hostess sets - Happy Birthday Everyone (#c149958, #w139171) and stamped on Whisper White card (#106549) using Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323).
The smaller bag is made using the Bohemian DSP (#138446). I cut the paper to 10" x 10" paper for this one. The stars are cut using the stars Framelits (#133723) with Very Vanilla card (#106550) and Island Indigo card (#126986). For You from Tag Talk stamp set (#c134252, #134249) has been stamped with Crushed Curry ink (#131173) and punched with the Label Bracket punch (#132153). The Gold Metallic Bakers Twine (#132975) was used to tie the bag.
The Gift Bag punch board will make 3 different width bags and I have made the large and small bags. The finished heights can be varied from 2-3/4" to 10-3/4".

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Sprinkles Of Life

Welcome,

By the time you see this blog it will probably be 2nd June which means that the new catalogue is now available to order from and there are so many exciting new products. This card uses Sprinkles Of Life (#p139971) which is the stamp set which Stampin' Up! donates $3 from each set sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities. It's a great set with lots of possibilities and has a coordinating punch - the Tree Builder punch (#138295).

The base card is Delightful Dijon (#138345), on top of that is Mint Macaron (#138344), then Very Vanilla card (#106550). Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday, Everyone Stamp set (#c139958, #w139171) - this is one of the hostess sets. It is stamped with Delightful Dijon ink (#138327). I embossed the Very Vanilla card with the  new Boho Chic embossing folder (#138286). I have used the Tip Top Taupe card (#138343) and ink (#138325) for the tree trunk and the leaves for the trees are stamped with Mint Macaron (#138326).  Watermelon Wonder card (#138323) and Cucumber Crush (#138342) are used for the apples.  I couldn't resist using all the new In-colours on the first card from this catalogue. The top of the tree was mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

This set is so versatile - you can also make clouds, ice creams, cupcakes and much more with this set. It's a must have set.

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
